Message From the HostsMy Dear Maulanians, We would like to greet all of you. In San Diego ,the general body decided to hold the XXth convention of MAMCOAANA in Toronto, Canada. It was a great privilege and honor for us to be selected as host of this upcoming event. After attending Chicago, New York, and San Diego conventions, we felt that we could execute this challenging task. First of all we would take this opportunity to congratulate Dr. Ved Prakash and Dr. Tejinder Singh for hosting the San Diego convention at such a beautiful and enchanting place. All the arrangements were top notch. We believe that non-attendees had missed a lot. We hope this year more Maulanians and graduates from other medical schools from Delhi will participate and make this a memorable event. Toronto is a beautiful multicultural city with a huge Indian population. It is at a drivable distance from New York City, New Jersey, Boston, Washinton, D.C., Detroit, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Chicago. The venue of 2004 convention is in the heart of the city and is within walking distance from most of the city’s major attractions. The main attractions are CN Tower, Eaton Center, Theater district, Hockey Hall of Fame, Toronto Harbor, and Center Island. The world famous Niagra Falls are not far away. The best Indian restaurant in the city will cater the food on Saturday night. Golf may be arranged if informed in time. Toronto has world class golf courses at a drivable distance. We are looking forward to this convention at the Toronto Hilton and wish that this would turn out to be the best ever. We happily solicit your suggestions and comments. Please feel free to contact us at anytime for any information or help. This weekend will be very busy weekend for Toronto because of the Caribbean Parade. I would like to request you to book the hotel at the earliest as there might be paucity o f hotel rooms because of the Caribbean Parade. We hope to see you in large numbers and make this endeavor a successful one. Our best wishes to all. Punam and Shiva Gaur |
