MAMCOAANA In Paradise

Literally, words fail to describe the beauty and splendor of the site where meeting was held. The resort had breath taking views, scenic surroundings, and a vibrant atmosphere. Excitement was visible and palpable. We would like to congratulate the organizing committee of Teji and Ved Prakash for such an excellent show. Thursday evening at Bay View Foyer, with a background of lake and Sun set, was an uplifting experience. Indian food, live music, and new talents displayed got the meeting started. Friday was spent with Shamu at Sea World. Maulanians took advantage of the courtesy ticket provided by the organizers. Murphy's Law did not apply. It was 70 degrees with clear blue skies. Mexican dinner at Nautilus pavilion in the SeaWorld Adventure Park was wonderful. Again, the evening was enhanced with great music and everybody danced. Visiting Dr N D Puri from Delhi added musical flair with his Gajals. Saturday night gala dinner was the high point of the convention. Live band and excellent food by one of best Indian restaurants in California was just wonderful. The superbly run CME was another salient feature of this convention. Broad topics were covered. Dr Ved Kaushik passed the CME Baton to Dr Rakesh Nanda.

Some fun-loving Maulanians did not come. We feel there are two kinds of Maulanians: those who play golf and those who surf the net (sit home). We feel very sorry for all those who are missing the fun part of our organization. Our next meeting is in Toronto in 2004. So Mark your calendars now. SARS Scare is over .Don't be left out, and please join your colleagues.
