MAMCOAANA Annual Convention 2003

The upcoming annual MAMCOAANA meeting, taking place from July 31st-August 2nd, 2003, is to be held at the Paradise Point Resort & Spa in the city of San Diego, CA., Situated on the California Coast known for its beautiful beaches. San Diego provides an ideal vacation spot and breathtaking backdrop for this year’s meeting. The Paradise Point Resort & Spa offers tropically inspired accommodations including bungalow-style rooms along with additional amenities. The temperate climate of San Diego makes out door activities enjoyable year round and there are many activities to choose from, plenty to keep the entire family content. In addition to excellent opportunities for golfing, fishing, boating and tennis, local attractions include the world renowned Birch Aquarium at Scripps, which as the largest oceanographic exhibits in the United States features a collection of over 2000 fish. The aquarium houses numerous exhibits and hands-on learning stations that address such topics as seawater recycling, global warming and earthquakes. Nearby Sea World is home to some larger sea creatures, such as beloved Orcas whale, Shamu. Daily shows featuring Shamu can be viewed at sea World, along with exhibits of penguins, sea lions and an assortment of other sea life. Tickets to sea world can be purchased along with MAMCOAANA registration, for $31 each. Though a bit farther from the lodgings, the famous San Diego Zoo and San Diego Wild Animal Park, both venues providing a look at a variety of animal species, are also of local interest. For those who love shopping, the Horton Plaza offers a wide selection of luxurious stores and dining. These are just a few of the many entertainment opportunities available in San Diego.
